Mabel Heyd is an honours graduate  of the Ontario College of Art and Design and her work as a visual artist can be found in homes across Canada, the USA and Australia. She works in watercolours, oils and acrylics to produce her unique style and view. Mabel is inspired by her natural surroundings and the everyday events of Oro-Medante and southern Georgian Bay.

Mabel is a graduate of the Adult Teaching course given by Georgian College and has taught art classes for many years at various art camps and classroom environments.
She offers classes in oils, acrylic and watercolor utilizing a technique of quick work that produces excellent results. Mabel believes that artists work and produce at their own pace and her classes are always fun and informative.

Mabel has worked as Floral Designer for 25 plus years and is  comfortable in either the "traditional" or "high style" flower design. She has been associated with some of the best designers in the field and was either employed in or managed stores from Toronto to Barrie. Her work has won awards and received praise wherever she has been.
